BAPTISMS

Your child's baptism is an occasion of great joy because a new member is joining the Christian family—the Body of Christ we call The Church.

Just as you celebrated your child's safe arrival into your family, at baptism we celebrate receiving your child into the Christian family.

If you are having your child baptized, it is an intentional choice to nurture your child's spiritual being, just as you nurture your children's physical, mental, and emotional being.

Baptisms are held during the 10:00 am worship service.  Worshipping with the community of faith is a foundational aspect of nourishing the spirit and being faithful to the promises of baptism.

It is important that your family worships with the Christian community each Sunday so that you are able to develop your relationship with God through prayer, meditation, hearing the stories of our faith, experiencing a message that is inspired by the Spirit, and being fed with the sacrament of the Eucharist from God's holy table.

Throughout the week, there are numerous ways of connecting with people and growing in faith.  There are mission and service opportunities, Bible studies and education programs, speciality groups and social gatherings.  For more information on Baptism please contact The  Rev Sue-Ann Ward at rector@graceanglicanwaterdown.org.

WEDDINGS

The solemnization of Matrimony is a Christian act of worship in which two people promise, in the sight of God and in the presence of their friends and relatives, that they will love, comfort, honour and cherish one another, and live together faithfully for the rest of their lives.

They join themselves to each other by making solemn vows, signified by the joining of hands and the giving and receiving of rings.
